Worried Blues of Piedmont original 180 gram - Reissued BY Mississippi John Hurt - The Legendary 1963 Piedmont sides of Mississippi John Hurt, his first since his influential 1928 recordings for the Okeh label. A companion record to "Folk Songs And Blues, "Worried Blues" was recorded live at a coffee house in Washington, D.C. in March of 1964. It was released a few months later that year. The wide-ranging repertoire, both originals and traditional tunes, are highlighted by "Cow Hooking Blues No. 2", "Farther Along" and "Oh Mary, Don't You Weep." Accompanied only by his guitar, Hurt is an engaging performer who cuts to the bone with his unique, peaceful singing and playing. Enclosed insert with updated liner notes by Hurt biographer Philip R. Ratcliffe. Deluxe 180 gram vinyl, original tip-on jacket in resealable poly bag.
