Originally released in a plain sleeve on Trevor 'Leggo' Douglas' Cash & Carry label, Leggo Dub is the (instrumental) dub companion to one of the most important albums by reggae great Gregory Isaacs, the 1976 recording Mr. Isaacs. These rhythm tracks are some of his most familiar reggae riddims from the roots era, performed by The Revolutionaries with early dub effects courtesy of Mr. Hibbert - classic roots rockers. The re-issue of Mr. Isaacs and Leggo Dub coincides with VP Records 40th anniversary celebrations. The pressing features cover art paying tribute to producer Ossie Hibbert (1951-2012) and his Earthquake label. Ossie was a long-time colleague and friend of VP Records.
